David Brown

David E. Brown is a Partner at RMPI Consulting He graduated from Babson College with a Masters in Business Administration after receiving his Bachelor of Science degree in business administration from the University of Maine at Orono. Mr. Brown has also completed post-graduate studies at Boston University in Commercial Real Estate Management.

Mr. Brown has more than 20 years of commercial banking experience specializing in risk management including commercial loan workout, acquisition due diligence, compliance, OREO and commercial underwriting. Mr. Brown formerly worked at CCR LLP as its Executive Director and Founder of the Risk Management Consulting practice for four years. Mr. Brown created a practice consulting to financial institutions in Loan Workout, Regulatory Oversight, Loan Review, Strategic Planning and Compliance Management. After four very successful years at CCR he decided to merger his practice with Jay Gallo and formed RMPI Consulting.

He also worked at Citizens Financial Group (“CFG”) for nine years where he was a Senior Vice President and Team Leader in the Special Assets Division. In that role, he was responsible for a team of commercial loan workout officers that managed substandard commercial and real estate loans in New England, and was a member of the CFG acquisition team. While at the company, he participated in 15 due diligence operations, resulting in 11 acquisitions. Prior to CFG, Mr. Brown worked for Fleet Bank, Bank of New England and Meridian Capital Corporation. While with those companies he originated new commercial loans, consulted to borrowers regarding problem loans, consulted to small businesses on product and management issues, and brokered commercial loans.

Mr. Brown is an active member of the Turnaround Management Association, the Risk Management Association and the Greater Boston Real Estate Board (REFA). Mr. Brown is also a member of the Board of Assessors and the Morrison Farm Reuse Committee for the Town of Acton, MA. He is a member of the Friends of the Bruce Freeman Rail Trail and the Acton Area Stream Team. He has also been involved with the Boston Chapter of Habitat for Humanity, Greater Boston Food Bank, Walk for Hunger and Relay for Life.
